The Many Ways You Can Help

Ways to Help

Since 2013, Longmont Friends of Feral & Abandon Cats (LFFAC) has been a local advocate for humane treatment and protection of community (feral) cats. It is thanks to compassionate volunteers and local business supporters who stand by us that we can protect cats in the city of Longmont and rural areas. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group. Charitable donations are tax deductible. Please read our Gift Acceptance Policy for complete details.

People like you make the difference and save lives every day by supporting LFFAC. Only together can we make our community a safe and healthier place for all cats. Remember, when you give to LFFAC, you will be helping to save, protect, and improve cat’s lives!

Cats have resided outdoors for more than 10,000 years, as residents of the natural landscape. Today their vital environmental role continues. LFFAC members are dedicated to make a shift in society’s view of cats—all cats—through education and accurate information.

Cats haven’t always lived indoors. In fact, for most of history, cats have lived outdoors, alongside people. Today, it’s estimated that there are just as many feral cats living outdoors as are there are pet cats.

LFFAC works to inform the public on the truth about cats. One of our goals is to correct misinformation and misunderstandings about cats that all too often result in cats being neglected or even killed.
