Rex & Jazzy's Story

Jasmine and Rex are an affectionate bonded pair who have come a long way in trusting people. They were rescued from an overcrowding situation, where they didn’t get much love or attention. When they arrived at the LFFAC shelter, they were so  scared and overwhelmed that they hid behind for several weeks. Volunteers would even have to place their food in this area, because the cats were too fearful to leave their sheltered spot to eat. Since then, volunteers have seen their territory expand and their personalities blossom.

These two love each other and take great comfort in snuggling together. Even when they are somewhere where there is room for only one cat, they find a way to make room for two – no matter how small the cubby, platform, or cat condo.

Rex loves to be brushed. Earn this sweet boy’s affection and he’ll roll on his back to show you his fluffy tummy. His tail is a magnificent plume that can convey his mood with a swish.

Jasmine has become the shelter’s ambassador, greeting volunteers with her gentle meow and following them like a shadow into the kitchen for treats and back scratches.

Anyone who takes the time to know them and earn their trust will be repaid with an abundance of love, purrs, and personality.
