Truffles and Calliope's Story

Truffles and Calliope came to us from two of our Trap-Neuter-Return sites. Truffles’ mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa were all neutered and returned. Former siblings were taken into LFFAC foster care and were adopted into loving homes. Truffles was trapped along with her two brothers. They were very bonded and adopted together leaving Truffles in need of a friend. Calliope, a tiny 6-week-old kitten, was abandoned by her mom as we were starting to TNR at her home. Her older siblings were trapped and returned but Calliope was tiny and needed a foster home. She was quickly taken to the vet and placed in foster care to be socialized to people and other cats while she grew big enough to find her forever home. She was a purrfect fit for Truffles. They’ve become bonded “sisters”, playmates, and friends and need to be adopted together.

Truffles is a sweet girl who’s playful and affectionate. She loves people and cats. When she’s full of energy, she loves playing with a laser light or wand toy with her humans. When she gets tired, she likes to climb up on a lap, cuddle in your arms, and show her affection with a soft purr. But there’s nothing like playing with her buddy, Calliope.

Calliope is a sweet, energetic kitten who is on the move. She loves to play, play, play. She is independent when she needs to be, but loves chasing and wrestling with her big sister, Truffles. She enjoys playing with a wand toy and string with her humans, but she can keep herself busy with her toys, exploring, and chasing springs or specks on the floor.

Most of all, Truffles and Calliope love spending time together. They play chase and soccer (batting a ball back and forth), and wrestle their energy out. And, when they run out of steam, they love cuddling up in front of a window to bird and squirrel watch before they take a nap.
